ReclaimEdge was created by a passionate and resourceful landscape architect with almost 40 years experience in the landscape industry. Leon Lange, founder of ReclaimEdge, started out in 1987 where his enthusiasm for creating gardens took off. Leon spent the next several years gaining valuable hands-on experience in nurseries, garden maintenance and landscape construction.

Leon then studied Landscape Architecture at QUT, where he went on to cultivate a career in Queensland and Tasmania designing outdoor environments of various scales for the public and private sectors.

After many years of specifying garden edge systems, an obvious gap between timber, economical but short life, and the popular high-end steel or formed concrete became clear. These have their place, but the gap remained.

Driven by this, and his growing concern about plastic waste, Leon stepped forward and created a system that offered greater value for money throughout the products lifespan, one that was quick and easy to install, and a product that utilised a resource that was readily thrown away.
